Other things you might want to know-
Autism NZ Manawatu branch's principal role is to support families and individuals with ASD to achieve positive outcomes. We are parents and people with ASD who work in a voluntary capacity offering support and information.

Our branch seeks opportunities to network with both other voluntary organisations and various agencies working in the disability field.

We recognise that one of the most stressful times for families is during the Transition Process. We have monthly support meetings this is usually the 3rd Wednesday evening of the month and provides the opportunity to meet those facing similar challenges and learn together. We organise family outings and special events during the holidays, which provide an opportunity for the children / people to identify with others on the spectrum.

To find out more, we can be contacted via phone, mail or e-mail. Our answer phone is checked regularly and a 'support parent' responds to calls. At Autism New Zealand's Website you can get an update of 'what's on' both nationally and with the local branches.
