Heather approaches her counselling work with a client centred approach, inviting a partnership between her and the person/s to explore their need/issues and options, for personal growth and development.

Modalities are:  CBT, FOT, IDT, CCP client centred, Narrative therapy and others

Heather welcomes all people who desire to discuss their issues and work toward their hopes and goals in life.  Heather is also able offer a spiritual perspective if preferred or required.  
For a number of years Heather worked as a Community Services Co-ordinator in rural and urban areas, previous to working as a counsellor in Palmerston North.
Heather is in regular supervision and is also committed to professional development.
She believes in being alongside people as they explore their journey, creating an awareness, and providing tools to equip them in their life situation, to celebrate their unique qualities and abilities with new found hope and dignity, bringing a balance between body, soul, emotions, mind & spirit.
